Having worked in the leisure industry for several years Stephen moved across into social care in January 2000. Initially this involved supporting adults with learning disabilities to live as valued members of the community.
In 2007 Stephen moved into children’s services in a managerial role working with looked after children. In 2015 Stephen left the local authority to become a self-employed business consultant specialising in safeguarding young people. Throughout this period Stephen continued to take private referrals in his role as a consultant hypnotherapist, helping countless numbers of individuals overcome complex personal issues.
With an extensive history of working with young people and a passion for education and personal development, Stephen now heads our provision.

Mark has been a qualified teacher since 2005. During this time, he has taught Science, History, Geography, Mathematics and English. Mark is also a qualified SENCo, a role he carried out for 7 years.
He was also an Assistant Head Teacher in charge of Pastoral Care for 5 years. Responsible for maintaining high standards of behaviour, child protection, Looked After Children and the reintegration of students returning from exclusion.
Mark has also worked within a Virtual School for Looked After Children, helping to raise the educational outcomes of this vulnerable group of students. Mark is now our Head of Curriculum.

Stacey began her career in a retail management setting as a training manager for over 10 years. It was here she first began working with challenging individuals and realising her vocation for teaching.
After overseeing training and rehabilitation of young offenders within a well-known retailer, her success with dealing with these young adults saw her relocate to Newcastle where she supported in the teaching of HEFC’s at Newcastle College.
Now completing her Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training with QTLS status she will be going on to study her Masters in Education Research as of September alongside her role as Head of Functional Skills.
